  • DOG target! I'd want to pop a cap on him if it was my child. A woman I worked with had this happen to her son, he was autistic, in a care facility. They could'nt prosecute the person of interest either.

  • As you said; "That way, IF it looks suspicious, the FBI can put a tag on it " that is how it should work and by law must work. There must be reasonable cause of suspicion not some general group identity, Muslim, Black, Irish, that allows action by the government.

  • The problem is the Constitution not only does not allow the Justice Department or any part of the Executive branch to do that, it prohibits it in the Fourth and Fourteenth Amendment.

  • Investigating and arresting are two different stories. Not so. They are part and parcel of the same story. Investigations begin with suspicion. Reasonable cause. Matching a profile AND exhibiting some other suspicious characteristic would warrant investigation.

  • First to investigate a US citizen for no other reason than his or her sex, race, political party etc. is unconstitutional. That is what the real issue is. For you or me to be investigated the government must have cause other than what this article states.
